Gift Card Terms & Conditions

These terms apply to gift cards bought from and issued by Chaarmology. Buying or using a Chaarmology gift card means you accept them.

What a Chaarmology gift card is

A Chaarmology gift card is a prepaid credit issued in Indian Rupees (INR) against a unique code. It is delivered by email — nothing is posted, so no shipping charge applies to it. It is not a bank card, a credit instrument, or a cash equivalent, and it earns no interest.

Validity

Every gift card is valid for 12 months from the date it is issued. Any balance left on the card after that date lapses and cannot be reinstated or refunded. The expiry date is shown on the gift card email — please keep it.

Where it can be used

Gift cards can be redeemed only at chaarmology.com. They cannot be used on any other website, on social media orders, at exhibitions or pop-ups, or through any reseller.

How it is redeemed

  • Enter the gift card code in the discount/gift card field at checkout.
  • A card may be used across more than one order — any unused balance stays on the card until it is spent or expires.
  • If your order comes to more than the card balance, the balance is applied and you pay the difference by any payment method we accept.
  • If your order comes to less than the card balance, the remainder stays on the card. No change is given in cash.
  • More than one gift card may be used on a single order.

Refunds, exchanges and transfers

  • Gift cards are non-refundable. Once bought, the purchase cannot be cancelled or reversed.
  • Gift cards cannot be exchanged for cash, transferred to a bank account, or reloaded with additional value.
  • A gift card is transferable as a gift — whoever holds the code may use it.
  • If an order paid for with a gift card is later exchanged under our exchange policy, any value returned is issued back as store credit, not as cash.

Discounts and offers

Gift cards are sold at face value. Discount codes and promotional offers do not apply to the purchase of a gift card, and buying a gift card does not count towards any minimum-spend offer. Discount codes can, of course, be used on the order the gift card is later spent on, subject to that offer's own terms.

Taxes and shipping

No GST is charged on the purchase of a gift card itself; tax is applied in the normal way to the products bought when the card is redeemed. Shipping charges on a redeemed order are calculated at checkout as usual and can be paid for using the gift card balance.

Looking after the code

Treat a gift card code like cash. Chaarmology is not responsible for gift cards that are lost, stolen, deleted, forwarded to the wrong address, or used without your permission, and we cannot replace a code once it has been spent. Please make sure the recipient's email address is correct before you complete your order — we cannot recall a card that has been sent to the wrong person.

Misuse

We may void a gift card, without refund, if we have reasonable grounds to believe it was obtained fraudulently, bought with a disputed or reversed payment, or is being resold for commercial gain.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The version published on this page at the time your gift card was issued is the one that applies to it. Nothing here limits any right you have under applicable Indian consumer law.
